# BioRaptor > BioRaptor is a bioprocess data analytics platform. It unifies online, at-line and offline data from bioreactors, instruments and spreadsheets into one place, then provides cross-run comparison, real-time monitoring, automated reporting and no-code machine learning. It is used by biopharma, biotech and food-tech teams in R&D, scale-up and manufacturing. BioRaptor is **not** a LIMS and **not** an ELN. It integrates with existing LIMS and ELN systems rather than replacing them. Its focus is analysis and optimization of bioprocess data, not sample or notebook management. An offline importer pulls from devices, batch records, Excel/CSV files and external collaborators such as CDMOs. Process data from different machines is aligned automatically regardless of sampling frequency, and naming conventions are standardized across systems. **Cross-run analysis.** Compares runs to explain process variability. Users select parameters themselves or run hypothesis-free analysis that surfaces which factors affected outcomes. No statistical or data-science background is required. Parameters can be changed virtually to model the effect on the end result. **Automated reports, graphs and dashboards.** End-of-run summaries generate automatically; reports can be customized, templatized and reused. **Real-time monitoring and alerts.** All active runs in one view, with machine-learning anomaly detection that flags deviations before they become full disruptions. Alerts are configurable and delivered by email or text. **Lineage.** Traces relationships between runs across upstream and downstream, including materials used and process parameters. **Soft sensors.** Models built on existing online signals produce continuous real-time estimates of glucose, lactate, LDH and cell density — metrics normally requiring spectroscopy hardware. Data is ingested from instruments over encrypted channels such as secure VPN tunnels or cloud gateways. Where equipment is not fully connected, offline data from Excel, CSV, batch records and lab notebooks can be imported and aligned with online data. BioRaptor does not use customer data to train other customers' models. Data is strongly segregated between customers, and BioRaptor engineers and customer success staff cannot access it unless permission is granted.
